Ashtanga Yoga is an ancient practice which is comprised of three main components: Ujjayi pranayama (breath), bandha (internal locks), and drishti (gazing point). We will learn to coordinate breath to movement in a set series of postures from the primary series. Recommended for intermediate and advanced practitioners.

A meditative, healing practice using passive, long-held floor poses. In Yin yoga we bypasses the muscles which allows us to nourish and strengthen the deeper tissues. Connective tissues, fascia, joints, ligaments and bones receive gentle, low load stress. The poses are held between 2-5 minutes and the muscles stay passive in order to pass the stress on to the deeper tissues.
In Pilates the guiding principles of eastern disciplines (harmony and movement control) merge with modern western science in the fields of physical recovery, fitness, sensory and postural stimulation. Pilates is a holistic form of gymnastic in which the goal is for mind and body to be activated jointly in every exercise.
In this gentle class you will be able to physically, emotionally and mentally prepare yourself for childbirth. The focus is on breath awareness and conscious relaxation to help ease pregnancy, delivery and the after effects of birth. Our prenatal yoga classes provide a safe and supportive environment for expectant mothers and are a wonderful way to connect with other mothers-to-be. Classes are open to healthy pregnant women in their 2nd and 3rd trimesters.
Postnatal yoga helps women to heal and strengthen their bodies after childbirth. The primary focus is for mothers to use asana (postures) to tone and strengthen from the inside out, while giving special time for them to connect with their babies. Postnatal classes are appropriate for women from about four to six weeks postpartum, up until about six months, or when baby begins to crawl.
Known as “the yoga of awareness” this practice incorporates dynamic movements (asanas), sound (mantra), breath (pranayama), and meditation to invigorate the body and strengthen the immune, endocrine, and nervous systems. This unique and powerful class is open to all levels.
We offer private yoga sessions tailored to meet your specific needs. Practicing privately with a teacher allows you to customize your session such as dealing with an injury or health concern or perhaps you are not comfortable with group lessons.
