Sunday Sanctuary – A restorative yoga workshop, with Jen Warakomski February 4th, 11.00 – 13.00

Join us for special event of self-care to slow down, heal your body, mind, and get yourself geared up to glide through the rest of the Winter Season with ease!
Winter is a time for hibernation and turning inward, as our bodies require the “Deep Sleep” that Mother Nature demonstrates in the Winter months. It is especially important to regain and strengthen our nervous systems after the hectic holiday season.
Practicing Restorative Yoga is especially important at this time of year in order to allow our nervous system to rest and rebalance. Restorative Yoga celebrates the art of releasing holding in the body and mind with supported care and mindfulness as the supportive framework.
The Rest & Replenish Restorative Yoga Workshop is a blend of Hatha and Restorative Yoga. This session is designed for you to move your body, then relax deeply, allowing you to unlock habitual holding patterns, and release deeply rooted tension. Through practicing this art of active relaxation, you will recharge your energy levels, heal your body and quiet your mind.
In this class, you will be guided through a series of Hatha poses, followed by supported Restorative yoga poses. We will use blankets, blocks, straps and essential oils to compliment each pose and stage of the unwinding and relaxation process. We will cultivate mindfulness through steady focus on our breath and practicing moving into stillness.
Restorative Yoga deeply strengthens the Nervous System. It boosts immunity, releases deeply held tension in the body and mind, and supports deep and meaningful transitions.
Open to all levels of students, including absolute beginners.
