05 Jan Yin Yoga Special with Nadine Ruiter
Yin Yoga is an inside journey through the body. It’s finding stillness within and can be a meditative form of yoga. Most poses/asana’s focus on the lower part of the body, where we all hold a lot of tension by spending so much time sitting in chairs all day.
Yin Yoga Special with Nadine Ruiter
Date: Friday, January 22, 2016
In Yin Yoga we get into the pose and stay there 3-5 minutes, sometimes even longer. By putting temporary, stationary stress on the body we reach the deeper layers, the connective tissue and the fascia which are not affected during the active forms of yoga (yang) but are both needed to find balance. One only needs to attend one yin yoga class to begin to see the great physical, therapeutic and energetic benefits to this quiet practice. Here are some great benefits you can receive through this practice:
- Calming and balancing to the mind and body
- Increases mobility in the body, especially the joints and hips
- Regulates energy in the body
- Learn to let go & Surrender
- Improves digestion
- Lowering of stress and anxiety levels
- Better ability to sit for meditation
Nadine Ruiter is a certified Yin/Yang yoga teacher and trained by one of America’s leading yoga teachers: Sarah Powers. She is very happy to share this special class with you at Radici Yoga.
